I hate the third declension in Latin. I really fucking hate it. I don’t hate it because it doesn’t make sense to me or anything. I hate it because it’s so fucking irregular, which makes it a pain in the ass to implement in my LatAux program I talked about in my last blog post.
If you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, you’re first of all a moron who really ought to learn a language other than queefy-sounding French or boring-ass Spaniard-speech. Here’s a visual clue:
I also like how the top banner has a completely retarded error: Pi should be stored in a floating-point number, not a fucking integer. I wonder how braindead I was during the making of that banner. It’s as though it wasn’t bad enough to begin with, without any errors.
Original in case I decide to replace it some time in the far future. I also like how WordPress automatically sets the size to “thumbnail” when I insert images.
I also like how I keep saying “I also like how…” It’s like I also don’t have any clue what I’m talking about because this is also being written at 01:13 AM on a Friday night. That is, Friday super-early morning. It’s Friday today. I also like how it’s not really “morning” when it’s 04:00 AM, even though people call it “morning”. It’s called “night”, you fuckers. Morning is from 06:00 AM to 09:00 AM. From 09:00 AM until 12:00 AM, it’s forenoon, which is not the same as morning. This is a true fact made by me. Shut up and stick to it.
So guess what? I have scrapped “Mundomnum: Mundus Omnes Circumit”! I sure have some nerve saying this half-a-year after I promised I’d actually make it this time. What could possibly have made me scrap the project and not continue working with it for such a long period of time? Well, there are three main reasons:
- First of all, I have had other stuff to do. I’m talking about school, to be more specific.
- I didn’t feel like programming. Coupled with the fact that I’ve been doing other stuff, this doesn’t exactly help matters. I’ve been studying Latin instead of programming. Yes, that’s right: I like studying Latin. Jesus, is it really that bad? People bitch and moan about the language when the English language is no better, albeit in other areas. Remember: Your language may not be hated by yourself, but you certainly hate Latin because it’s not your language, right? I don’t know what I’m on about; just ignore me. It’s just that I’ve seen too many sore cunts lately bitching about Latin and how fucking “stupidly hard” it is. Some difficulty is to be expected by a language almost three thousand years old, you dumb fucks! Moving on…
- I’m stuck. I can’t stress this enough, but there’s just not enough incentive for me to continue programming, I feel many times. I have the basic knowledge, but without knowing what to use it for, I have no reason to learn more complex stuff. I can cobble a Roman numeral converter together just to have something to do, but there’s no actually practical reason to do it other than learn something I have already learnt. Besides, we already have thousands of them on the internet; it’s not like we need more of them.
I am currently throwing together a Latin Helper Tool for no reason other than to see if I get anything out of the process. If not, then I feel I may leave programming for an even longer period of time.
And what the hell is “mundus omnes circumit” supposed to mean? “The world encompasses everything”? I think it was supposed to mean something around the lines of “the world that encompasses everything” or “the world of all worlds”, in which case it would be translated as “mundus qui omnes circumit” and “mundum omnium mundorum”, respectively.
Edit: If it’s absolutely necessary to have three words in the title, call it “Mundus omnia circumiens”. Yes, it’s “omnia”, not “omnes”.
